DESCRIPTION

The Honeywell 4100 is an advanced controller with features and power that give it unmatched versatility and capacity. Advanced digital technology, easy installation, modular components, and affordable price make the Honeywell 4100 the right solution for managing even the most demanding access control needs - now and into the next century.

Flexibility

Manufactured by the worldwide leader in access control technology, the modular design of the Honeywell 4100 allows maximum versatility for tailoring secure and dependable access management solutions for any facility, regardless of size. The Honeywell 4100 supports multiple technologies at each door, including: digital proximity, magnetic stripe, keypad and smart card.

Modular components allow easy system expansion as an installation grows, and easy implementation of future technologies. For organizations that currently use the popular 818SC controller, the Honeywell 4100 can provide 818SC emulation to allow an easy upgrade path without the need for additional hardware or expensive software conversions.

32-bit technology

With an Intel® i386 EX embedded microprocessor, the Honeywell 4100 takes a giant step for access control technology. Its 32-bit digital architecture gives this advanced controller super-fast and accurate control of up to eight doors, the ability to make host-independent decisions, and the ability to control elevators.

Installation

Twisted-pair wiring greatly reduces the cost and difficulty of installing an access management system and allows up to a 4,000 foot distance between the controller and its readers. The controller is functional as a stand alone unit, or it can be linked with multiple units at multiple sites from a central location using a Honeywell host station.

While providing highly advanced and dependable access management features and components, the Honeywell 4100 is priced economically so that an organization can implement a complete multiple technology system at a cost similar to less secure single technology systems.
