GENERAL
The Excel 10 Q7752A Serial Interface or Serial LonTalk Adapter (SLTA) is a
complete network interface unit that includes all of the required hardware and software to
execute network operations for a twisted pair E-Bus network. Use the standard power supply
or battery included for the SLTA with a portable operator terminal (PC) to perform network
operations by connecting the SLTA via the SLTA connector cable to the E-Bus port on Excel
10 controllers or wall modules. For permanent installations, use a mounting bracket to
wall mount the SLTA.
FEATURES
- Electronics Industry Association (EIA) standard RS-232C Interface.
- 1200 to 115,200 bits per second (bps) serial bit rate with autobaud detection.
- Uses E-Bus network protocol.
- E-Bus communicates through a 78 kilobit transformer coupled transceiver.
- Transformer-coupled communications interface offers much higher degree of common mode noise rejection while assuring DC isolation.
- Built-in power management and rechargeable battery.
DESCRIPTION
The Excel 10 Q7752A Serial Interface or Serial LonTalk Adapter (SLTA) is a
complete network interface unit that includes all the required hardware and software to
execute network operations for a twisted pair E-Bus network.
SPECIFICATIONS
The SLTA is a one-piece construction,
externally wired device. The SLTA is connected via the SLTA connector cable, part number
205979, to the E-Bus port on Excel 10 controllers or wall modules.
Power Supply

the connection plugs outer barrel positive (+) and the tip negative (-). Power On LED is
located on the back of the Q7752A SLTA.
Transceiver Type:
The SLTA uses a transformer isolated,
differential Manchester transceiver.
Status Information:
Service (LED) on the back of the SLTA provides
status information.
A service request button for broad-casting the neuron ID on the E-Bus, is located on the back of the SLTA.
Mounting Options:
For permanent installations, the SLTA can be
wall mounted using an SLTA mounting bracket. See Excel 10 Q7752A Serial Interface
